The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
Note that Adobe requires you to uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first.
Some users have mentioned that the latest Flash Player versions (v.9.0.115.0 and 9.0.124.0) in some cases conflict with Leopard 10.5.4, and that they have needed to revert to v. 9.0.47. This can be downloaded from here:

You should also ensure that you have downloaded and installed the correct version for your Mac of Security Update 2008-006. (N.B. Security Updates require both a restart and a permission repair.)

I am having a hard time installing flash player onto my new computer. When I tried to install i was coming up with a drop box that said safari cannot find internet plug in MIME type plug in application/ x-shockwave flash. To complete the installation, read and click through the dialog boxes. When you see the Shockwave Player movie playing below, your installation is successful. The installation should take about 10 minutes on a 56.6K modem. X Lossless Decoder(XLD) is a tool for Mac OS X that is able to decode/convert/play various 'lossless' audio files. The supported audio files can be split into some tracks with cue sheet when decoding. It works on Mac OS X 10.4 and later. I uninstall the flash player, reinstall flash player 9, same problem. I usually use Safari, but similar warnings occur in Internet Explorer and Firefox. I am running this on a PowerMac G4 laptop, OS 10.3.9.
