For several years now Autodesk have included an uninstall tool with their software. It is the quickest and best way to remove Autodesk software from your Windows system.

The best EASY approach to uninstall AutoCAD 2021 is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this: 1. Now before you reach for the Windows ‘Programs and Features’ to uninstall, stop! Using the Windows uninstaller for each product is a manual process, and who knows in which order to best do it? /softimage-xsi-2016.html. There is an alternative. A little known fact is that Autodesk also provide their own Uninstall Tool. You can find it right there on the Start menu. Open the uninstall tool from the Start menu (Windows) or the Finder (Mac OS). It's listed along with other products in the Autodesk folder. Example: Start Autodesk Uninstall Tool (Windows) or Finder Applications AutoCAD Remove AutoCAD (Mac OS). In the tool window, select the products to uninstall. Uninstall the medium resolution image library followed by the base resolution image library and then the Autodesk material library. After add-in applications are uninstalled, select the main product to be uninstalled. Click Uninstall/Change (Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10) or Change/Remove (Windows XP). Then in Add/Remove Programs go and manually uninstall things like Object Enablers, then if I want to really clean it, will use CCleaner and do about 4 passes to remove all the registry junk. The Autodesk removal tool is terrible and does not remove everything it should and and yes uninstalling sucks! Select any Autodesk product you need to uninstall, then click Uninstall/Change. Important: If you've just installed a new version of F/X CAD or AutoCAD, you may be completing these steps to uninstall previous versions that were already on your computer when you installed.

Here’s how to use the uninstall tool;

Fire up the uninstall tool, as shown below:

Once the tool launches, choose the products that you wish to remove and then click “Uninstall”.

The tool will show a progress bar at the bottom, as well as the current program being removed.

That’s it, you’ve successfully removed your old software.

If you are trying to recover a failed installation, try deleting the contents of your TEMP folder (usually “C:TEMP”) AFTER running the uninstall tool. This needs to be done BEFORE running a new installation. See this articlefor help with a new installation.

Note that the uninstall tool does not remove any 3rd party add-ins.

  1. Obtain your copy of the Longbow Converter here
  2. Start the Converter tool
  3. Click the Tools->Advanced->Uninstall all Autodesk Products menu…
  4. The Converter will now list all of the Autodesk products installed on your computer, you can press F5 to refresh. Select which ones you want to be uninstalled, then click Uninstall/Clean
